D Spot Dessert Cafe in Airdrie is primarily a dessert-focused restaurant that serves up generous portions of sweets alongside a surprising selection of savory options. Located on Main Street South, this spot draws families and groups looking to celebrate special occasions or simply indulge in a sugar-fueled treat. The bright, playful interior creates a casual and inviting atmosphere, making it a comfortable place to spend a relaxed afternoon or evening.

What sets D Spot apart locally is its dessert expertise—especially its well-sized portions designed for sharing, which suits families or friends who want to try multiple items without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Their menu highlights include indulgent waffles like the Bueno Waffle, creative milkshakes such as the Chocolate Monkey, and unique fusion items like Spicy Tandoori Poutine, signaling an adventurous, eclectic vibe rather than a strict dessert-only menu.

Visitors can expect friendly service that often accommodates small customizations (like mixing two dessert flavors) even when it’s not standard practice, which gives the place a welcoming, customer-focused feel. That said, those requiring gluten-free or vegan options may find the choices limited, so it’s best to plan accordingly.

The savory menu is more than just an afterthought here, with offerings like spicy sausages and signature poutines that appeal to those wanting a full meal rather than just sweets. However, some dishes, such as the crepes, can feel pre-prepared rather than freshly made, which might slightly detract from the experience for diners seeking freshly crafted plates.

Because portions are large and meant for sharing, the cafe works well for group outings, birthdays, or casual get-togethers where the emphasis is on a fun, laid-back dining experience rather than fine dining precision. Prices tend to run on the higher side, but considering the size and flavor variety, many find it worthwhile.

The best time to visit is during quieter weekday afternoons or early evenings, when the vibe is relaxed and the staff have time to engage more personally. Weekends can get lively, especially with families and kids celebrating birthdays or special moments.

Cleanliness and well-maintained facilities, including fresh restrooms, add to the overall comfort of the place, which is appreciated by regular visitors. For those who love mixing savory with sweet or sharing large, flavorful desserts in a colorful setting with a local flare, D Spot Dessert Cafe offers a niche experience in the Airdrie dining scene.

Their expertise is deserts. We went for my son's birthday (who loves sweet treats) and had a lovely time. The deserts are large (sharing is very doable). The atmosphere is fun and inviting. They do not have options for those with dietary allergies (ie: gluten or vegan).

Their milk cake is delicious..I was confused between 2 flavors and the person who was taking my order was so generous that he offered me to do half and half of pistachio and lotus biscoff..They usually don't do it. I would recommend this place and would like to try other flavors and desserts as well.

D spot (Airdrie) We were out a few days back and wifey wanted to check this place out. We went in and had an ice cream (it was very good, many menu items looked awsome) and my daughter said she wanted to go for her birthday, so we went for lunch today with her bestie. I was concerned that the savory side of the menu might be disappointing considering the rest of the menu is waffles, ice cream, fancy milkshakes ect. ALL of it was awsome. My burger (the Hawaiian burger) was sweet, spicy and savory. Had a good bun, veggie/fruit was fresh and the Jalapeños actually had a nice zing. The beef bacon and burger were good too. The burger itself wasn't anything special but a good burger none the less. I opted to upgrade my fries to poutine, I really like the gravy. My wife's Chicken burger with Chipotle sauce was good too. Good quality chicken, fresh veggies and that sauce...it was almost a blend of Chipotle and Butter chicken, very tasty. Wife wants the Chipotle poutine next time, I agree it would probably be awsome. The regular poutine had cheese sauce on it as well, still had the curds and gravy but also had a good drizzle of cheese sauce. I never had any so not sure if its good or not. The fries were very much like the fries from Costco cafeteria. No, the gravy is not "traditional poutine" gravy, I really enjoyed it though. My only real complaint is that they dont have standard pop/juice. No coke/Pepsi, no sprite, no iced tea. Water, fancy virgin mojitos, milkshakes and special hot drinks. When we went for ice cream I had pistachio and it was sooo good with every bite there was 1 or 2 whole pistachios. Daughter got strawberry and vanilla, real strawberrys and the vanilla had true vanilla flavor. The cookie dough was good but I like the DQ version better.

Place clean and fresh bathroom. Pricey but portion is for sharing. Love the decor. Crepe tasted pre-made and not made fresh to order. Red velvet cake didnt taste very fresh either but fruits are perfect. Our server was very nice.

Visited D Spot Dessert Cafe in the evening and glad to see it's open until midnight — perfect for late-night dessert cravings! The place has a nice vibe and is a great spot to hang out with friends. The desserts were really good, although the prices are a bit on the higher side. The store itself is clean and aesthetically pleasing, which adds to the experience. Service was decent enough. Overall, a great place to chill and enjoy some sweet treats.

My new favourite place! The menus is amazing the diner has a great atmosphere and was so cute inside. The food was amazing the drinks were delicious. It was hard to choose what we wanted to try for our first time. We all sampled each others plates and not one disappointed. Definitely will be going back.
